24th June 2005. Me in front of the Discovery on the Day of my graduation.
Yet again I have a mystery (well it isn't really on the Sherlock Holmes scale, but still I am intreeged). Through the little box over there in the bottom right corner some one has sent me a message. So this is what information I have:
Who are ya?: jude
What you thinkin?: You
I also know that the IP address from which the message was sent is based in Uganda. Well it could be anyone random. The last I heard from the only person I know called Jude was the she was in Kosavo/Germany doing Army style stuff. So I am thinking it is not her and that it is just another random surfer message (coz I get them alot). It is good fun doing investigations like this :)
Went to see the film Millions today, which is supposed to be set in Manchester but the purple wheelie bins give away the fact that it was filmed in Liverpool.
Its my last cricket match for the uni staff team today (as I will be leaving Dundee on Monday). I will put my figures/averages up when I know them. We are off to Largo.
As Mad has passed me a baton…
Total volume of music files on my computer? At the moment there is just 361 songs, however at one stage I did have over 100 albums on here until it started going slow.
The last CD I bought was? I brought 3, Acoustic Vol. 4, the Best of British Film Music and the Alternative Album (Green Edition). Before that I brought via iTunes (my first purchace) Bloc Party
Song playing right now? None, I am listening to the world service.
Five songs I listen to a lot/mean a lot to me?
Am I allowed more than five? I have an Albums worth at least, these are the ones on the list presently:
Björk: Army of Me
The Killers: Somebody Told Me
St Etienne: She’s on the phone
Radiohead: Creep
Muse: Butterflies and Hurricanes
Razorlight: Golden Touch
Snowpatrol: Chocolate
Fiona Apple: Limp
Half Man Half Biscuit: 24 Hour Garage People
Some words of wisdom:
You can buy a house but no money will make a home
You can buy a bed but sleep isn't for sale
You can buy a watch but time can't be purchased
You can buy a book but knowledge must be gained
You can pay for a doctor but not for your health
Your soul can be sold but life isn't in any sale
Position may be bought but respect must be earned
You can pay for sex but there is not price for love
Our Malc gave me these words but I don't know if they are his or someone elses.
Well I am back in Dundee. I can back up to play cricket but the weather prevented that :(
You might recall that I had an interview on Monday with Suffolk County Council, well they have offered me the job and so I will be moving to Ipswich for at least the next 3 years. It is all very exciting but also scary at the same time. I am now trying to find somewhere to live and think about moving from there in the 2nd week of July.
Apparently, I can get get an ASBO if I answer the door in my dressing gown... Unbeliveable... This morning Eric stopped me answering the door to the postman because I was in my PJs and dressing gown, I was probably wearing more clothes than most women in Liverpool do on their nights out.
Last night, Eric compained that I didn't post very much anymore. I said it was coz I had nothing to say...
Well yesterday I had an interview in Ipswich and I think that it went well. I will find out on Wednesday.
Michael Jackson found not guilty on all charges... UNBELEIVABLE!
Been in Liverpool this w/e and its been fun. I have been motorway driving, over to Saltaire, to see a final year art show (I know one of the artists). I am heading back to Dundee on Wednesday moring so that I can play cricket :) I think that I am approaching obssession.
I am "officially" moving out of my flat on 27th of June and back to Liverpool. I still haven't worked out how all my junk will be getting back, I think I have too much for even me mum's car.
Big family news of the moment is that our Malc is having surgery to sort out his knee, and coz he did it while at work (football, he was a registered player) he gets it free including 3 weeks in a residential physio and recouporation place (all in France BTW).
I am having a good week. I have another job interview, although it is one over the phone. Still I think there is hope for me yet.
I went to see Sin City (based on the graphic novels of the same name) today, this is a violent film, me mate was laughing coz I kept having to hide behind my coat ;)
I have my grad ball out fit, a blue Sari and the best thing about it is that the shop from which I purchased it have sown all the necessary pleats in place so I am going to be much less concerned about it falling off in the middle of the night... It is so amazingly cool.
I just thought I would pass this infomation on:
Environmental Resourse Management 58%
Field and Research Project 61%
Environmental Assessment and Sustainability Appraisal 62%
Landscape Design and Management 71%
Chemistry of the Environment 51%
Environmental Geoscience 61%
Ecology and Conservation Biology 63%
Environmental Remote Sensing 73%
So what does this mean you may ask? Well with two first, four 2:1 and two 2:2 it means that I have a Upper Second Class Degree in Environmental Science [Bachelor of Science (Honours)]. I am well pleased.
I have just returned from a week in Canterbury. I went to; the beach, the zoo, the park, a nuclear power station, see the reduced shakespear company, see mary poppins, london (where I did wedding dress shoppin (not for me)) and generally hung out.
