A retraction
I was a bit harsh on Eric. He was much better behaved than he has been in the past. He didn't make a single comment that he knew would wind me up. He was just taking the piss out of my friend instead.
The Weather
Its snowing in Dundee and has been since late last night. And the good news is that there is not a blue sky in sight so we will be having snow for a while now. Will the SSAGO rally be cancelled?!

Long time no blog
I won't bore you with the details of my uni week. However I will with the details of my long w/e.
On Thursday I ventured away from Dundee for a brief tour around the UK. I went down to Liverpool on the Thursday and hung out with me mum (yes that is a little sad) and Colin (who was about from Ireland). Friday evening I dressed myself in the majority of my purple suit and went out to a posh restrant (and had a crap meal and crap waiters). Jen came out with us and Eric was his usual self (ie trying to wind me up). Saturday morning I headed over to Leeds and met up with REH and RPH plus his girlfriend (who is very nice). After some shopping and eating, REH and I headed over to the Wrights new place for a house warming party, which was amusing and I managed to hold my tongue (I wasn't too rude to Hugh). I did feel very young though. REH left early on the Sunday morning to get back to Canterbury... Sunday I travelled back to Dundee on the East Coast Mainline and I saw some spectacular snow storms.
Yesterday it was back to the usual boringness of uni life. Drudgery was broken up by a pub quiz last night in the Ferry (now that might confuse people) with some of the cricket team, we didn't do too great (but the questions were a bit before our time) however I did manage to win a 1.5 litre bottle of Liebfraumilch (it had a screw top) in the raffle. I have also managed to drink said bottle (not by meself, one of the cricket lads helped me). So it was another late night and early morning (2am to bed 9am lecture).
If I have been a bit slim on details in any of my blogs, you are welcome to use the box in the bottom right hand corner of my blog to contact me for more details. I am just not sure who reads this thing anymore and I don't wish to incriminate myself.

"The singer out of slipnot went to Rome to see the Pope..."
It has been on okay week, I still have a cold, but thats neit Weher here or there. Managed to finish an essay or atleast get it to my proof reader. This was the 3,000 word one so now I just have the 4,000 word one.
Went bowling on Wednesday, it was fun, only 7 people came and for once in my life I didn't come last. We ended up in the union drinking (I am still not appriciating the renovated union, too much like poncy wine bar for my liking).
It was by birthday yesterday (I am now 22, thats like properly grown up). We had a party in the flat last night (although it wasn't a birthday party). It was a good party although a little disapointing, only 2 of the people I invited turned up (as always). Achh Well as we say up north. I am now lying in bed watching friends and typing, how decitant of me :)

Played 5 aside on friday night (well it was 6 on my team and 5 on the other). I scored a goal and assisted with another, final score was 14-14.
BTW the lyrics of Half Man Half Biscuits' Trumptom Riots:
Oh!
Oh! Oh! Oh!
Unemployments rising In the chigley end of town,
And it's speading like pneumonia doesn't look like going down.
There's trouble at the fire station someone's had the sack,
And the lads are going to launch a scheme to get rid of Captain Flak.
Tell PC McGarry to get himself a mate,
And arm themselves with CS gas - they're going to be out late.
We've had cant conformism since 1966,
And now subversions in the air in the shape of flying bricks.
Chorus:
Someone get a message through to Captain Snort
That they better start assembling the boys from the fort.
And keep Mrs. Honeyman right out of sight,
'Cos there's gonna be riot down in Trumpton Tonight.
All this aristocracy has really got to stop'
We could overthrow the surgery and kidnap Dr Mopp.
The Chippy Minton Socialists could storm the market square,
And make plans to assasinate our aristocratic mayor!
Windy Millitant leads his Basque like corngrinders to war,
With windmill sails and bombs with nails they smash the town hall door.
But Snorty and the boys arrive with one big erstwhile crew,
Whereupon they bring about a military coup.
Maggie Thatcher wasn't the bestest freind of HMHB as you can tell from these lyrics. Even funnier are these lines from All I Want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague Away Kit
And now he's working
In a job with a future.
He hands me my Giro
Every two weeks.

Who remembers Cassandra Claire's Very Secret Diaries? While looking round for cricket stuff today, I came across three links on Crawley Cricket Clubs site, they are Flintoff's Diaries 1, 2 and SA. They are mildly amusing. Not made my way through all of them yet though.
Sorry if some of this is old news (only just finding time to blog)
Footie
Everton are through to the 5th round of the FA Cup after beating Sunderland 3-0. However, the Toffies have been drawn against Manchester United in the 5th round. The only positive thing about the draw is that it is at Goodison Park (Rooney's return, the match will be getting shown by the Beeb). Last night, Everton beat Norwich in the premiership to stay 7 points ahead of the Copites (LFC).
Cricket
If I am well (and have found some money) I will be attempting to play 5 aside footie with the lads from cricket. This is part of our new training program, and team work strategy. Next week we are going bowling :)
Also on the cricket front, who watched or listened to the final over of last night ODI against SA? You can see the full score card here. It was one of the most exciting final overs I have ever listen to.
We are currently trying to organise a 24hr cricket match... It is hard work. Anyone want to sponser me?
Films
I would like to revise my review of Closer. Yes it was a really good film and Clive Owen is a fantastic actor but, all the characters in it are nasty, truely horrible. I really hope I never come across such people. Apparently in the play, one of the characters dies at the end, this doesn't happen in the film and I think it should have coz it would have made a much better ending (I don't know which one but I think it wouldn't matter anyway). Not been to see a film since Closer as nothing really has taken my fancy. I really wanted to see Vanity Fair with Reese Witherspoon as Becky Sharpe, however it disapeared out of Dundee Cinemas after only a week or two.
Student Behaviour
I went out with my flat mate on Saturday night to meet up with a few friends (that didn't happen and is a complete other story). Dundee night clubs have this thing that if you get into the club before midnight, you can use your student card and get a reduced rate. However due to a huge cue, we didn't get into the club till gone midnight and had to pay the full price of £7 which is outrageous. Once in the club Charlene and I were astonished to be charged £5.60 for two bottles of Bud. That is like London prices... I only wanted the two bottles not the whole brewery.
TV
I am watching a lot of TV. 4 hours a week is given over to ER, Desprite House Wives, One Tree Hill and The OC. On top of this I am also watching Neighbours, Home and Away and Holyoaks most days. This is a silly ammount of TV I think. I must try better.
