The Life and Times of Me

It is out of season but despite this, I am the proud owner of a ball shaped bruise on my inner thigh... I really don't have any hand to ball coordination, infact I have no coordination full stop, maybe I should go for dyspracia test one day :)
I have sort of finishe my disseration only one last proof read needed and this time next week (fingers crossed my printer doesn't die) it will have been handed in, yey!
I found these in the Guardian today, rules for modern living:
Wrong numbers
• You should not accept or continue a phone call if a shop assistant is serving you.
• You should never text anybody while in the middle of a conversation.
• You should always monitor your volume when chatting on your mobile.
• You should only send email round robins in extremis.
Traveling right
• Stop for pedestrians at pedestrian crossings.
• On public transport, allow people to alight before you board.
• Do not put your feet up on the seats.
Good lovin'
• Do not smooch in the company of others.
• Always dump in person, not by text, fax or email.
New age
• If you go through a door first you should always hold it open for those who follow.
• Offer your seat to the elderly, but don't assume they'll want it.
• Offer your seat to a pregnant women.
Social works
• If invited to someone's house for dinner, don't be one of the ungrateful fed.
• Don't drink more at a party than you brought.
Child's play
• Do include little Emily and baby Jack when addressing Christmas cards to their parents.
• Never tell somebody else's child off in front of them, or criticise adults for their poor parenting. Except when you should.
And while you're at it...
• Do not undertake.
• Wipe down gym equipment after use.
• Stick to the swimming lane that's right for you.
• Remember that neither the cinema nor the theatre is your front room.
• Don't punctuate your sentences with profanities in public.
• Don't think "I was here first" is a trump card.
I think I agree with most of these, especially the mobile phone ones. I know several people who text while your supposed to be having a conversation with them and it is very very annoying. The swimming lane thing is one of my grear stress in life, I always end up going when the pool in unlaned because I am too fast for the medium fast lane and too slow for the fast lane and at the uni pool, the lanes aren't wide enough for over taking :(

This weekend has been an effort at avoiding work. I spent the entire of saturday in my PJs (admitadly with 4 jumpers over the top), a watched childrens Saturday morning TV, very amusing it was too and then i just arsed about all afternoon. Made nice curry though (mushrooms and blacked beans). Sunday I also arsed about but I did some work and I had a concert. We was singing some requium by Durfle of someone it would have been better if we weren't crap but we can't have everything. There were only about 20 people in the audience which is really bad.
Today I got more of the dissertation back of my proof reader. It is going okay and I am going to deal with the corrections tomorrow. I am also trying to fill in application forms. It is so not fun "describe your personalitiy" what sort of a question is that... Anyone who can help me with this let me know and in return I will send a mars bar to the winning entry. One equal oppertunties form I have had to fill in asked be about my sexual orientation... Weird!
We had a guest lecturer from ST Andrews today and he was very good (and no he wasn't good looking for those who may think I just say such thing about sexy men, although I was sat at the back so I couldn't really focus him).

I think I am one of the most anal people in the world. I got pissed off yet again today by the fact that my lovely frying pan was used to cook meat in. I know this is really sad and maybe I could just say it's a vegeterian frying pan but I think that once meat is cooked in a pan it is never quite the same to fry an egg in and that it will never be as clean as it was!!!!!
Back to the real world... Today was a shock to the system, 5 hours of classes in one day. My brain is a bit frazzled now. Tried to sort out my contents page for my dissertation today and it didn't work (I want 2 colums and stuff and it keeps cocking up). So all in all the dissertaion hasn't got very far in the last 3 days ;)
Tonight I went to see Bridget Jones, The Edge of Reason. It was funny, not as good as the book although Colin Firth made up for the missing bits.
I have found I job that looks quite good, all I need to do is get the application pack and apply for it...

I went to a party last night and I got to my bed at 6am this morning. It was a great party in one of the biggest houses I have seen. The entrance is on the first floor with a huge hallway thing with rooms off it and then on the 2nd floor there is a ballroom! I don't know what has happened to the ground floor though. People were dressed as superhereos and supervillians and so there was an interesting mix of costumes. The most sick on was someone who dressed as Yasser Arraft in a hospital robe with drips and things... Charlene, Polly and I went as Charlie's Angels circa 1970s.
Today I am going to be doing more dissertation stuff once I have got clean and dressed.

Wow, aren't I clever. I went into blogger and copied and pasted my original blogs HMTL so I had all the important stuff then I picked a new blog template and copied and pasted all the important stuff again and wow, I have a more upto date looking blog.
Last night, I headed to the union for some danicing and chatting. I only lasted untill 01:15 and it is intirely my own fault. I sort of head butted a wall (I had only had half a bottle of beer) and sort of got concusion. I now have a lump and a sore head.
I am a bit worried that I am going to have too many words for my dissertation. I can't have more than 10,000 and I am fastly approaching that mark. Some cutting is going to have to go on I thinks.
Tonight we are havining a pow wow about what we are wearing for the fancy dress party tomorrow night... We have to be superheros or supervillians.

I have been asked a question "How do you know where people are viewing your pages from?" Well I think there are a couple of ways of doing this, if I get an anonomus message through the little box, I put the IP address that came with the message into this place and see what it comes up with. Other than that I have no idea...
I am soooooo tired, just had an after tea nap but it probably was not the best idea :(
I have added comments buttons to my pay but due to my complete lack of computing abilities, you have to click on the time of post to get to the comments button. Can anyone help? I also want to change my blogs colours...

I was going to post last night but blogger wasn't playing ball.
I watched Touching the Void last night. What a fantastic film, scary and painfull in many places but great. When Jo broke his leg, I cringed with pain.
Last weekend I went to the Cinema to see Princess Diaries: A Royal Engagement which although not following the story of the books was amuzing in a girlie Sunday afternoon kind off way and had a hot bloke in it. Today as a reward for working hard on my dissertation, I went and spent my £15 book token and brought 6 books (on 3 for two, I had to spend £17 on top of the tokens) and I got the Princess Diaries Sixsational, Philip Pullmans his dark materials, bill brysons a short history of nearly everything and the courious isident of the dog in the night. I have read the princess diaries tonight and the 15 year old princess is worrying about sex (a wonder what the American right will think of this).
