Christmas day passed without a major argument. We ate, opened presents (thanks to those who gave them to me but I have not thanked yet), ate some more, did a jizsaw (with out a picture on the box) and read and slept. I din't get me PS2 but I may have enough money for it soon, plus sing star. Boxing day involved more eating and walking round to a friends house for some socialising (had to walk all the way around the block as ally gates meant they was no more short cuts through the entries). I have decided that I am not very good a small talk, our Malc is very good at it, I am good at saying the wrong thing.

I am now trying to find things for me to do. Got a few books to read, some jeans to adjust and a corset to make when I get the approriate materail. I may go and bug some people too.

New year isn't confirmed either, plans of a place in the sun have fallen through.

Crap Start to Christmas
Exam over. I went to the union but I didn't get drunk, mainly because it was taking 20 mins to get served and they wouldn't open the other bars as "it wasn't busy enough."

Reasonably smooth journey home apart from virgin... 24 mins late meant I missed my connection and had to wait over an hour for the the next one.

When I got home, I discovered that my uncle had died... This is not good and so my christmas spirit has compleatly disapeared. The five of us went down to London for the funeral (via the Hales house) which was today. Life really is CRAP sometimes and we have so little control over the really crap bits of it.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I was in Saltaire staying with Clr and Ed in thier Fantastic new house. Their Tanzinian guest bedroom has been warmed up with two lovely yellows. It is just looking forward to some furniture. I really had a nice time and it was good to take my mind off other stuff.

Now the other stuff is over, the Lesley/MacLean House is just getting ready for Christmas.

Happy Christmas Everybody!

Everton won the Derby, Everton won the Derby, Everton won the Derby, Everton won the Derby! What a good round up to an interesting week.

Me mum was up for the week and I was ill, so you can imagine how much revision I did :(

My one and only exam is tomorrow and my brain isn't responding anylonger to revision. And I am not looking forward to the exam. Hey Ho!

Back to Liverpool on Thursday (yeah, not been home all term) for christmas and painting and decorating.

For those of you who have been paying attention to what the Scottish National Party are doing might want to go and sign the petition at this site.

Trying to decide what to take home for the holidays (what am I going to need?). I sent a suitcase full of presents and dancemats back with me mum and so should only need cloths and possibly a text book or two to do some pre second semester reading.

Some FA cup draws that interest me:
Plymouth vs Everton
West Ham vs Norwich

Started me revision, and I am bored.

Cleaned the flat, and now I have manky hands.

"Ignorance is the worst thing in the world next to wickedness."

Happy St Nicholas's everybody. Who found chocolate in their shoe when they woke up this morning?

On the breakfast news, they were taking about the Sudan and the efforts being made by various pop stars (not just Sir Bob and co) to raise money for the refugees. Anyhow, they had this American women on who is singing in a concert in the Albert Hall tonight who started going on about how many of the children in the refugee camps had never heard of christmas and never got any presents... The other people sat with her failed to point out that the Sudan is a Musilm country and therefore was why the children had never experienced Christmas!!!!!!!!

Night Out
Last night was the cricket clubs Christmas dinner and it was great fun (as being surrounded by 9 men always is. We had dinner and drinks in the local Whetherspoons, went on to the local O'Neills and four of us ended up in the Union. Although I was drunk I don't have too much of a hangover, the jam sandwiches and pints of juice did their trick :)

Lazy Day
Today has been one of doing nothing. Went and borrowed a CD from a friend, brought Sampoo and Conditioner and a Cauliflower. Now I am just playing about with the CD cover software that is on my computer.

The end is nigh
Today, I took a step closer to the end of my degree. I handed in my dissertation, all 67 pages plus appendices. I also got my mark back for my loch Tay field trip, which despite not converting metres into hectares and not doing the right stats and not doing a big enough literature review, I managed to get 63% (2:1 here I come). So now as long as all my marks stay above 60% I am happy.

Christmas is coming
I have started my christmas shopping, I had forgotten how hard it was. This year I am trying to do it on a budget, I have £100 to get everyones presents (there are 11 definates on the list). However, I had been picking up bits and peices for people for a few weeks now and so have already spent about £30.

Last night in cricket we played hand hockey, a fun game which uses similar rules to netball but which always ends up in a fight as some of the club are very very competative... After an hour of cricket I went to Choir, we did our christmas carols and started the peices we are doing next semester, Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace which is excellent (and easy).

I am going to tidy my room in preparation for me mum coming to stay, start my revision and do some more job applications this afternoon. Tomorrow evening is the Cricket Club Christmas Night out starting for a meal in the local whetherspoons and then onwards and upwards.
