So, I have given in my notice of being District Commissioner. I have had my last division meeting and been and given out lots of badges. When the division found out I was giving up, the first question they asked was "when is the baby due?" I think they are very closed minded if they think that there is only one reason why a girl may not want to be district commissioner any more. A week later, my friend who had been division commissioner until a couple of months ago had a run in with the division president after the later suggested that maybe I was a little to young to be DC and thats why I had stopped. Nothing to do with the bitchesness of the people on the committee or the three hour division meetings or how horrible they were to the previous DC and to top things off, I suffered a 10 minuted talk about how rubbish my campfire skills were.
So now I am back to just being a guide leader (and from January for a short while a brownie leader- if people have some programme ideas please pass them on (programmes on a plate would be most welcome)).

I'll drop you a line with some of our favoured nights at Brownies from over here!
Do you know how good the girls are at organising themselves and making decisions? I ask as our lot are fairly good so we often ask them to decide how to do stuff when we set challenges in their six together rather than it being the instructions!
