Oh I just remembered. I wanted to talk about fires in Paris. Don't think I have ranted about this yet.

I Scotland a few years back, two students died in a fire in a flat because the landlord kept it in such crap conditions. As a result the Scottish Executive changed the rules regarding housing. Any house/flat that had 3 or more unrelated people living in it had to get a Housing of Multiple Occupancy (HMO) certificant. This basically means, there are fire doors throughout, integrated fire alarm, fire extinguishes and safe exits.

In Paris over the last 3 months almost 100 people have died in fires because of crappy housing quality. Investigations have been started but nothing has been done! Why does the dealth of two "white" students get such a reaction in Scotland, while the dealth of dozens of "black" immigrants in Paris gets nothing done. My brother, says it is very suspcious, I think he was implying that the far right had something to do with the fires or that the government didnt want to do too much in case they lost the vote from the right!
