The TUC annual conference has been very interesting. 1970s rhetoric is very exciting. I very much enjoyed this show on Radio 4 the other day. Alexei is very amusing. The best bit of it is Bob Crow explaining that in a capitalist system you have to have unemployment otherwise it doesn't work, with the pressure of other people lined up to have your job, your not going to ask for more money are you? I also caught an interview with Tony Blair on the Wednesday edition (15th September) of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I'm glad someone was willing to ask him difficult questions.

There is still no sign of a job for me. I'm doing a couple of application forms at the moment. So, I have been making things and painting things, I've been going round the house, touching up and doing the bits that were missed when we were doing the house work. Spent lots of money in the local haberdashery too, hopefully I'll recoup those costs though when I sell some things.

At Guides, we are going to hold a Cake and 2nd hand book sale to raise a little money. Anyone with any "spare" books, let me know.
